Overview

Remote

BetterRX is a growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) company in the healthcare industry looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Product Organization.

In this highly visible role, you will translate product strategy into clear, executable engineering work. You will work closely with Product Managers, developers, QA, and UX to ensure the engineering team always has well-defined, high-quality work ready to build.

As our development velocity increases—especially with AI-accelerated engineering—we need someone who thrives in the space between product strategy and engineering execution. You will own backlog readiness, write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, facilitate agile ceremonies, and ensure the development team can move quickly without ambiguity.

At BetterRX we believe AI will fundamentally transform how companies are run and how software is built. Our product and engineering teams actively use AI tools to accelerate development and improve product quality. In this role you will be encouraged to leverage AI to expand requirements, validate acceptance criteria, and identify edge cases—while we help equip you with the tools and workflows to operate at a higher level.

We are a people‑obsessed company on a mission to end needless suffering caused by medication delays through innovative software solutions that connect every member of the patient’s care team.

Ideal Candidate

You are a highly organized communicator who enjoys turning ideas into structured execution. You thrive in collaborative environments where product managers define outcomes and you help transform those outcomes into detailed, well-documented engineering work.

You enjoy writing, structuring complex information, and asking the right follow-up questions to eliminate ambiguity. You are comfortable working with software developers and understand how software systems are designed and built.

You are curious about emerging tools and excited to use AI to enhance your productivity, improve requirements clarity, and accelerate product development.

You are known as someone who brings order to complexity, ensures teams stay unblocked, and makes everyone around you more effective.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Translate product strategy and discovery outputs into structured engineering work.

  • Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that meet the INVEST principle.

  • Break down product initiatives and epics into well-scoped stories including functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Maintain and prioritize the development backlog, ensuring 2–3 sprints of ready work.

  • Own story and defect prioritization within the development backlog in alignment with Product Manager direction.

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily standups, backlog refinement, and sprint demonstrations.

  • Serve as the first point of clarification for developers during sprints, escalating strategic questions to Product Managers.

  • Collaborate closely with UX, QA, and engineering leads to ensure stories include specifications, diagrams, and testing considerations.

  • Identify missing requirements and proactively follow up to prevent development blockers.

  • Lead internal issue triage discussions and route feedback and product issues into prioritization channels.

  • Ensure product requirements and supporting documentation are complete, structured, and accessible to the development team

  • Leverage AI-assisted workflows to help expand requirements, validate acceptance criteria, and identify non-functional requirements.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills and ability to translate ideas into structured documentation.

  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria for software development teams.

  • Ability to break down complex initiatives into well-defined development tasks.

  • Strong organizational and backlog management skills.

  • Comfort facilitating agile ceremonies such as standups, backlog refinement, and sprint demos.

  • Technical literacy and familiarity with software development concepts such as APIs, system interactions, and non-functional requirements.

  • Ability to create diagrams and structured documentation that improve engineering clarity.

  • Excellent follow-up and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with AI tools or curiosity about applying AI to product development.

Other Requirements

  • 3–5 years experience in a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or Product Operations role within a software development environment.

  • Experience working with agile product development teams.

  • Ability to work 100% remote.

  • Ability to travel for internal company meetings (~ four times a year).

  • BS degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
